30-Day Scripture Writing Plan for Self Love

In another post, I shared with you different scriptures to assist you on your journey of learning how to love yourself. In this post, I wanted to share with you a 30-day scripture writing plan for self love.
My reason for this is that we often read a lot of scripture but we aren’t always intentional about diving into it. Or we may be overwhelmed during our time of Bible study not knowing what to read or do.

I have created this scripture writing plan that will help you read, interpret, and understand what the Word of God teaches about loving yourself. When we write scripture out it forces us to look at each word instead of simply just passing our eyes over what is written. It challenges us to think through what the scripture is saying.
Each day there is a new scripture to read. I have chosen to not restrict this to a specific month because I feel like we can get overwhelmed when we label things for a specific month or day.
How many of us can only start a new diet or a workout plan on a Monday? If it doesn’t start on that Monday then we decide we need to wait another week.
I wanted this plan to be flexible and not be restricted to a specific time frame. Although there are 30 scriptures they do not need to be completed in 30 consecutive days.
I suggest using a journal and your favorite writing utensil, along with your favorite translation of the Bible. Here are some of my favorite journals to use. I also love these InkJoy pens by Papermate because they write so smoothly and don’t smudge.
Each day set aside 10-15 minutes to devote to spending time in the Word. I suggest first reading through the scripture, and then taking the time to write out the scripture in your journal.
As you write it out meditate on what you’re writing. Make notes about what it means to you, how it relates to your life, any revelation you got, and even any questions you may have.
You can go as deep as you feel led to go. After that spend time praying about what you wrote.
